In 1955 the chairs in the back of the church were replaced with pews.

In 2000 the pews in the back of the church were replaced with chairs.

The Alma Hearne Missionary Society was organized April 27, 1920 and held their last meeting May 14, 1963.

The first major remodeling of the sanctuary was in 1962 when the choir loft was changed and the balcony stairs were removed during Lloyd Latta's pastorate.

In 1892 the Methodist Society had to overcome predjudice against it by the Calvinistic majority of the community.

The Disciples of Christ (Christian Church) paid $10,000 in June 1921 for the former Methodist Church. The spire was removed because it leaked.

In 1951, three chairs were made for the pulpit platform by Foster Bickel.
